Growing up I heard my mom sing war tunes like White Cliffs of Dover. Volunteering in nursing homes from a young age, I sang those tunes to bring 'home' to those never going home again. The experience and the wisdom of the last generation makes its mark on those who follow.

Merging White Cliffs with We'll Meet Again and sandwiched between the two, the remarkably perfect mature voice of Darrel Janz reading Arilius Isfeld's poignant 1947 self penned poem, is an example of this experience and wisdom: whether in religion, politics, family or business, 'the battle is o'er, when every man is master of himself'
