Based on fictitious characters but factual events Danny was one of the many who came to Canada with the hope of a new life, freedom and to become the master of his own destiny. When WW1 broke, the call of the Empire stirred loyalties in these new Canadians and those from the UK were the first to enlist. Many did not come back leaving their widows and children to forge a life alone in a developing new Canada.

Sad, but true, the strength and tenacity of these pioneers added to the building blocks of the Peaceful nation we love. We are here, enjoying the kind of freedoms they dreamed of.
