My Son, Our Sons

This film clip was edited and produced by Scott Fairweather from the Canadian Landmine Foundation. He used original footage of Canadian Military Engineer Mark Isfeld removing landmines during his deployment in the former Yugoslavia. The lyrics were originally a poem written by Mark's mother Carol Isfeld, for her son's birthday. The music was composed by Edmonton's Jan Randall. Phyllis recorded Carol's song for her album 'In Harms Way' in 2007 and gave permission for it to be used for this video.

Epic Dragon Fable

Epic Dragon Fable : 16 mm and video, 10 min. length

Part 1: The innocent children of the Moona, Suna and the Soggy secretly unite to bring peace to the land. They awaken the adults to action with an unexpected ending and a message of Remembrance and Sacrifice.

More than 30 youth and adults volunteered to spend an intense weekend to film this story with the message 'Peace is not Free'.

Script and music was written by Phyllis Wheaton, sound track recorded at Alchemy Studios, Calgary Alberta with Jeff Muller, Engineer.

The Stones of Signal Hill

The Stones of Signal Hill are located in SW Calgary, Alberta, a reminder of WW1 soldiers who trained here and left their battalion numbers as a reminder that 'There Was No Battle Here."

Kananaskis Country

Photos of Kananaskis Country taken by Alberta Teachers on retreat in Banff, are matched with Phyllis' song 'Kananaskis Country.' It was recorded in 2005 for her album 'The First Song'.
