About Phyllis

As a group facilitator/counselor, Phyllis has worked with all ages, from K to 12, from a variety of social and ethnic backgrounds. She uses music to make complex stories and concepts memorable and fun. As a singer/songwriter of Canadiana, she has recorded multiple CDs, has had radio play across the Prairies, and Ontario and in November of 2004, her song about the Stones of Signal Hill in Calgary's southwest, was aired on CBC Newsworld across Canada.

Her song lyrics/poetry has been published in Canadian artist Real Fournier's retrospective and in an Anthology of Cowboy Poetry (Ken Mitchell). In September of 2006, she presented "The Scottish Canadian Connection" (similar to The Pioneer Connection) to enthusiastic students in Aberdeenshire, Perthshire, Tobermory, schools in Scotland.
