Meeting Diana for coffee

Umbrellas draining - first taste of
Scottish wet weather

Thursday, September 14, 2006

Anne and Allan in Inchture, and Heather and Allan at Auld of Clunie were wonderful hosts as are Nancy and David. It is Scottish hospitality at its best.

Today Nancy and I are meeting Diana for coffee. I met her last night at the Rural Women’s Institute meeting, where she showed me a photo of her mom who had emigrated to the Canadian Prairiess with her parents as a little girl. She gave me a written account of her moms story which is precious to me as it becomes another gem among the stories I am sharing with students!

This is the first really wet day I have seen since arriving 11 days ago. Everyone is saying the nice weather is an oddity .

Jean rang today to say she had spoken with Alison Argo and she knew Tillymaud and David Argo and his daughter Helen and husband Rob Smith. I called Alison and she gave me Helen’s new email and phone number. We’re back on track.

Nancy asked me to visit the hospital Day Program to sing for their group. Kathy joined me and we had a grrrreat time. (Braw!)

When we get home Lily and Bill are visiting David and we have another sing along.

'Tonight we drive over to Joyce’s sister Pat and husband Richard to visit. Tomorrow I’ll present the Scottish Canadian Connection in Murthly, their daughter Amelia’s school.
