Eerie in the fog -
William Wallace monument

My “Coronation St.”  Glasgow photo

Monday, September 25, 2006

Time to get off my bahookie, and head to Glasgow.

Bob takes me and we stop at the Wallace Monument on our way. The thick fog helps to make a cool photo.

Bob is also pleased that earlier in the week he received a phone call about a job he was very interested in, and got it. (They just hired a great young man!)

Once settled in my B&B in Glasgow, I managed to take a Coronation Street photo. It is actually a backstreet in Glasgow but the cat I’m sure was related to the one on Coronation Street. I waited her out for the right pose!

Ciaran provided a tour guide for this afternoon, one of his friends, Andrew Quinn. He is an engineer for the city of Glasgow but also is a songwriter. http://www.myspace.com/andrewquinn1972

Thanks Andrew, for the tour!

An actual internet café is hard to find in rural Scotland but here in Glasgow there is a superb one just a couple of blocks away. I know I’ll be spending hours here. Sip ‘N Surf, is quite new and is doing very well no doubt because of Hugh and Will’s personalities as well as hard working staff. Thanks for everything Hugh and Will!

Heather. Kate and Ciaran

Heather, Ciaran and their sidekick, Kentucky U.S.A. born Kate, fiddle player and singer, stop by after their gigs tonight and we grab a cup of coffee. Good to meet you Kate! Big hug to you Heather and see you again!
