Glasgow downtown

Tuesday, September 26, 2006

Ciaran has a few hours to show me Glasgow , including downtown, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and the subway (I love the underground).

Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum was quite a stop. Got the photo of the armor! And Elvis for my friends who love Elvis. This museum reminded me of George Baird’s classroom in Turriff – they both understand interactive learning!

Tonight Ciaran plays at a colorful venue surrounded by friends. I get to go too. They all have accents!

He is a remarkable entertainer with a voice and songs that have the audience captured like school children. (and by now I know my school children) I’ve lost my list of everyone’s names but trust me, they also were great – we shared Fairy Blood tea (delicious) and our host Jim McAteer, began the evening with his set followed by a young and beautiful talent Jo Anthony with Craig Whitehill. What a wonderful mix – the time flew by, too quickly!
